Talktime for the Zen prepaid card is calculated to within 60 seconds of accuracy, meaning that you pay for each minute started during a call.

Calling card starter kit

• ZEN calling card includes: mobile number, SIM card and 3 € of talk time.
• To activate, insert the SIM card in the phone, enter the PIN code 1234 (you can change it later on your device), call any number and the calling card is ready for use.

Topping up and validity of prepaid card

• For your Zen prepaid card to remain valid, you must add talktime to it: at least €3 in one go within seven calendar months of the last time you topped it up. Otherwise, the card will be deactivated and any unused balance will be lost. In the context of adding talktime, one calendar month comprises 30 calendar days.
• You can check the validity of your prepaid card by dialling *135*3# from the phone on which you are using the card.
• A prepaid card can be activated at any time within three years of the card being issued. Please note that the date of issuing the prepaid card is not the date on which the card reaches you – It is printed on the packaging of the starter kit.

General terms and conditions of use of service

• The General Terms and Conditions for Use of Elisa Services apply to prepaid card use, with the exception of the section that regulates provision of services pursuant to the Subscription Contract.
• Elisa reserves the right to amend the price list and terms and conditions of the prepaid card, informing users of the changes via a text message to the prepaid card number and an announcement on the Elisa website. The text message will include a link to the page on the website detailing the content of the changes.
• If the prepaid card user uses the card in a forbidden or unreasonable manner, Elisa has the right to restrict the provision of the telecommunications services or close the card, notifying the card user accordingly in advance via a text message.
• In a foreign country, your prepaid card will only allow you to call and send texts to numbers in that country and to Estonian numbers.
• The prepaid card user can delete their user account on the self-service site for the prepaid card by texting ‘KUSTUTAKONTO’ to 95000. Their account will then be deleted within 3-5 business days of receipt of the text message.
• With the deletion of their user account, the right of the prepaid card user to use the card expires and their card is deactivated.
• A user account is automatically deleted when a prepaid card expires.
• Elisa processes the personal data of prepaid card users in accordance with the principles of personal data processing of Elisa Eesti AS, which can be reviewed here.
• Since 15.05.2019 it is not possible to use m-parking with a calling card. From now on, calling card users will have to use different parking applications (for example, Pargi.ee, Snabb, Autlo, etc.), which allow payments from a bank account.

VoLTE – more refined calls

VoLTE (Voice over LTE) or LTE (4G) is a technology that offers the possibility to make and receive voice calls over an LTE network. For voice calls, a private network is created from the phone to Elisa’s core network. Private network is quality controlled and prioritised over internet traffic. Should the LTE signal weaken, the call is smoothly switced to the 3G network. VoLTE calls require a device that supports VoLTE service. Once you have the right device, you can enable and disable VoLTE from your device settings. In majority of the modern devices, VoLTE is automatically active.

How do I know if VoLTE is enabled on my phone?

On majority of the phones, an image of VoLTE appears next to the signal bars

Also, the corresponding VoLTE or LTE call indicator is displayed on the phone screen during the call, and later in the call log.

* Sony phones do not display the VoLTE icon. You can check the VoLTE registration during the call by monitoring whether the phone remains in the LTE network or not.

Advantages:

• Considerably faster call initiation – saves time and battery.
• TThe phone remains in the high-speed LTE network during the call.
• Better coverage because the LTE network uses a lower, 800 MHz, frequency.

Requirements:

• Phone that supports VoLTE.
• Use of the LTE (4G) network must be enabled.
• VoLTE/LTE/4G calls must be enabled in phone settings.

Other notes:

• During a VoLTE call, if for some reason, the phone switches to the 3G or 2G network, the call will not be transferred to VoLTE, even if the LTE coverage is restored. The phone will switch back to VoLTE only after the call has ended.
• VoLTE calls are charged at the same rate as 2G and 3G calls. There are no additional fees to these calls.
• Switching from LTE calls to 3G calls is disrupted in Ida-Virumaa region. The call will be disconnected automatically when the phone moves outside the LTE network area.
• VoLTE calling does not work abroad.
• SMS, MMS and other additional services continue to work n the same way as in the 2G and 3G network.
• To make VoLTE calls, the recipient does not need to have VoLTE calls activated.
• VoLTE calls and texts are charged according to the terms of the current plan or on the basis of the standard price list.
• We can guarantee a more reliable call quality in the VoLTE network, therefore we suggest customers to enable VoLTE calls.
• The VoLTE icon on your screen may vary, depending on the manufacturers and phone models.

Prices and terms and conditions of Travel Internet passes for the Zen prepaid card

• Travel Internet passes can be ordered by all Zen prepaid card clients.
• The Travel Internet pass can be used in Estonia and Finland in the Elisa network, in Latvia and Lithuania in the Bite network, in Sweden in the Tele2 and Telenor networks and in Norway and Denmark in the Telenor network. Roaming prices apply in other operators’ networks. The roaming price list can be reviewed here.
• To order a Travel Internet pass, text REIS1, REIS7 or REIS30 to 95000. You will receive confirmation via a text message when the pass is activated.
• The cost of the pass will be deducted from the balance of your prepaid card.
• The pass remains valid until the end of the respective calendar day (according to the pass ordered) or until its limits are reached.
• When your pass expires, you will receive a text message notifying you of this. Continued use of mobile Internet will then be charged according to the Zen prepaid card price list or roaming price list, which can be reviewed here and here.
• The amount of data included in the Travel Internet pass is shown in the Internet pass table.
• The Internet can be used at unlimited speeds. Internet passes enable unlimited data exchange speeds in 2G, 4G and 5G networks, depending which network(s) your device and SIM support. More information about Internet speeds in the Elisa Estonia network can be found here.
• If you order a Travel Internet pass and an Internet pass designed for use in Estonia, the passes will be used in the following order:
• The Travel Internet pass is used in foreign networks.
• The Estonian Internet pass is used first when you are in the Elisa network in Estonia.
• When using the Travel Internet pass, the prepaid card user undertakes to comply not only with the terms and conditions of Internet passes but also with the terms and conditions of use of the Internet service of Elisa Eesti AS, which can be reviewed here.
• Elisa has the right to update, at any time, the price plans it actively offers, amending their contents and components, adding new price plans and removing old ones. Such changes do not retroactively affect price plans already ordered and activated by clients.
• All prices include 22% VAT.

Prices and terms and conditions of service bundles for the Zen prepaid card

• Bundles are only valid with the new price scheme.
• The cost of the bundle will be deducted from the balance of your prepaid card.
• Once activated, Zen service bundles remain valid until the end of the 30th calendar day or until the limits are reached. The service bundle becomes available as soon as you receive the confirmation text message.
• When your service bundle expires, you will receive a text message notifying you of this. Continued use of mobile Internet will then be charged according to the prepaid card price list or roaming price list, which can be reviewed here and here.
• If you order several service bundles, you will remain connected for 30 days from the date on which you ordered the most recent bundle. If you order the same bundle again, the total volume of services in the bundles will be merged. The service bundles enable unlimited data exchange speeds in 2G, 4G and 5G networks, depending which network(s) your device and SIM support. • The € 4.99 price plan includes: unlimited ZEN-ZEN calls; 400 minutes for calling Elisa, Tele2 and Telia mobile phone numbers; 1 GB for Internet.
• The € 5.99 price plan includes: unlimited ZEN-ZEN calls; 500 minutes for calling Elisa, Tele2 and Telia mobile phone numbers; 300 text messages to Estonian mobile phone numbers; 3 GB for Internet.
• The € 8.99 price plan includes: unlimited ZEN-ZEN calls; 600 minutes for calling Elisa, Tele2 and Telia mobile phone numbers; 600 text messages to Estonian mobile phone numbers; 6 GB for Internet.
• The € 15.99 price plan includes: unlimited ZEN-ZEN calls; unlimited calls to the Elisa network in Estonia; 600 minutes for calling Tele2 and Telia mobile phone numbers; 600 text messages to Estonian mobile phone numbers; 15 GB for Internet; 60 minutes for calling desk and mobile phone numbers at normal rates in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Spain, Netherlands, Croatia, Ireland, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, France, Sweden, Romania, Germany, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, Denmark, Czech Republic, Hungary, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Russia.
• The talktime included in the price plans is for calling Estonian mobile phone numbers. Calling landline phone numbers is subject to the usual price list rate.
• Service bundles are designed for use in Estonia. Services used abroad are charged in accordance with the roaming price list, which can be reviewed here.
• If you are travelling to countries of the European Union and you have an active ZEN price plan for Estonia, all roaming services will be unavailable to you at first. To begin using roaming services, simply text ROAMING to the free short number 95000. After that you can use our services across the EU based on the roaming price list. You can save even more by ordering a European or Travel Internet ticket or a Travel smart price plan that suits the country you are in.
• When using the service bundle, the prepaid card user undertakes to comply not only with the terms and conditions of service bundles but also with the terms and conditions of use of the Internet service of Elisa Eesti AS, which can be reviewed here.
• Elisa has the right to update, at any time, the service bundles it actively offers, amending their contents and components, adding new service bundles and removing old ones. Such changes do not retroactively affect the service bundles already ordered and activated by prepaid card users.

• Travel smart plans can be ordered by all Zen prepaid card clients.

• If you order several Travel smart plans L, their period of validity is calculated from the date on which you ordered the most recent plan and the total volume of services in the plans is merged.
• The smart plans enable unlimited data exchange speeds in 2G, 4G and 5G networks, depending on which network(s) your device and SIM support. More information about Internet speeds in the Elisa Estonia network can be found here.
• When using the service bundle, the prepaid card user undertakes to comply not only with the terms and conditions of service bundles but also with the terms and conditions of use of the Internet service of Elisa Eesti AS, which can be reviewed here.

Terms and conditions of automatic extension service for service bundles

• With a Zen prepaid card, when ordering an Internet pass and service bundle (hereafter referred to collectively as the service bundle) you can activate the automatic extension of the service bundle should it expire or should you use up all your data.
• Activation and deactivation of the service to automatically extend a service bundle takes place via the Zen prepaid card self-service site at minu.zen.ee.
• The service can be activated for all Zen prepaid card service bundles.
• The service can only be activated for one prepaid card service bundle and one Internet pass (incl. Travel service bundles and Internet passes).
• In order to activate the service, you must have sufficient funds in your prepaid card account (i.e. covering the monthly fee for the service bundle), since the fee for the automatic extension of the bundle is deducted from the balance of your prepaid card account. For example, in order for a service plan with a monthly fee of €8,99 to be automatically extended, the balance of the prepaid card account must be at least €8,99.
• If there are insufficient funds in your account when you wish to automatically extend your service bundle, you will not be able to do so, but attempts to establish the automatic extension will be made every minute thereafter for the next 72 hours. Note: Once 72 hours has passed since the first attempt to extend the service bundle, the service to automatically extend the service bundle is deactivated.
• The client can designate via the self-service site in which of the following instances the service bundle is automatically extended. Automatic extension of the service bundle may take place when:

1. the service bundle expires;
2. the data volume is used up;
3. the talktime included in the service bundle is used up;
4. the text messages included in the service bundle are used up.

• In the case of automatic extension when the service bundle expires, the service volumes which have expired (data, talktime and text messages) are deleted and are not carried over to the extended service bundle.
• In the case of automatic extension when the data volume is used up, any service volumes unused prior to the extension are merged with the service volumes of the extended service bundle.
• In the case of automatic extension when talktime is used up, any service volumes unused prior to the extension are merged with the service volumes of the extended service bundle.
• In the case of automatic extension when text messages are used up, any service volumes unused prior to the extension are merged with the service volumes of the extended service bundle.
• In the event of the service bundle expiring, service volumes being used up, the service bundle being extended or the automatic extension of the service bundle failing, Elisa will notify you accordingly via a text message. Should the automatic extension of the service bundle fail, you will only be sent a text message the first time the attempt fails.
• Elisa reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of the automatic extension service of service bundles, informing users of the changes via a text message to the prepaid card number and an announcement on the Elisa website. The text message will include a link to the page on the website detailing the content of the changes.
